    Hi,
First of all excellent and easy to follow tutorial..But I have a small problem, I applied all the textures as you mentioned in your videos. But when I render it using f9 I just get a black output. Can you please help me out? I am a total beginner.
Can you please explain me what does the ‘Render mult’ option do when I am applying HDRI. Because when I set the value to 0, I get a total black screen and when I keep It as 1 it renders it total white.
Also I have noticed that when you press f9 in videos your 3ds max renders very quickly..But in my comp when I hit f9 it takes approx 3 min to render the image. ( I use a quad core Intel CPU with 512 MB nVidia 8600 Graphic card )..Is it normal??
    I use 3DS Max 2010.

    Thank you

    Regards,
    Vaishnav

    Hi,
sorry…I got the proper image…I realized that I had not ticked the ‘Fresnel reflections’ checkbox !!!!!
But still the rendering is taking ages!!!
    Am I doing something wrong???

    Thank you,

    Regards,
    Vaishnav

im glad you could find where the problem is.
about the slow this is very normal as you have only 512 MB of ram, and you use 3ds max (2010) which is much slower than (2008) that im using in my tutorials with 2 GB of ram.
